Senior Project Manager for Advocacy Communications

Evident is looking for a current or aspiring Senior Project Manager to bring their expertise in digital marketing, strategy, and business development to our Advocacy Communications unit.

Job Description

Specific Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Achieve monthly and annual revenue and/or sales targets by identifying leads and potential markets through research
  • Implement lead generation tactics through the development or improvement, and implementation of the advocacy communication team’s services and products 
  • Respond to, and engage with, any sales inquiries or requests for information
  • Work with different teams to develop or improve products and services, and prepare client pitches
  • Write proposals in response to various RFPs or RFQs
  • Continuously seek opportunities to promote advocacy communications products and services

Strategy and Planning

  • Conduct research for, write, and edit concept notes and grant/funding and project proposals
  • Craft accurately written strategy briefs, job requests, and minutes of agreements for servicing teams
  • Lead and participate in the creation of strategic plans and other communication products for internal and external clients
  • Draft budgets and work plans for internal and client approval 
  • Craft marketing presentations and presentations for clients
  • Commit to continuous learning and staying abreast of trends in communication, social media, NGO communications, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, public policy, and other related fields

Project Lead and Management

  • Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring budget adherence and quality of deliverables
  • Manage media and public relations initiatives with the Corporate and Public Affairs Team, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders when required
  • Lead proper client and team onboarding
  • Act as day-to-day client contact and liaison between client and internal servicing team
  • Anticipate and inform internal servicing team and client of any possible issues that may arise during a project, and manage the outcomes of these
  • Oversee the overall production of deliverables and leading the team in ensuring that outputs align with strategies, deadlines, and expected quality
  • Act as client’s “brand champion” and police any anticipated deviations to strategy
  • Coordinate with suppliers and freelancers, as needed

Finance Coordination

  • Inform the finance team regarding new incoming contracts, any contract changes, and payment schedule
  • Collect necessary finance-related documents needed for engagement

Operations and Special Projects

  • Where assigned, lead special projects such as process improvements, marketing, business developments, events, trainings, etc.
