Remote Work:
This position is Work From Home until it is safe for everyone to return to an in-office working model. We’re looking to speak to candidates who plan to be in Metro Manila long-term.

 

About the Role

As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in developing the Corporate and Public Affairs Business Unit by managing and growing strategic accounts that will be assigned to you. You are required to perform the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with various Evident stakeholders — government officials, private sector associations, and multilateral institutions — to execute campaigns 
  • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with existing clients; find ways to collaborate beyond a pre-defined scope of work 
  • Provide strategic inputs in campaign development, agency management, client servicing, and stakeholder alignments
  • Establish and deepen Evident’s relationship with traditional and non-traditional media; improve the firm’s ongoing media relations practice; introduce junior staff to journalists 
  • Help lead and mentor CPA staff in the execution of campaigns and client engagements. Discover and develop their unique strengths in order to see where and how they can contribute better to the organization.
  • Execute and operationalize client contracts
  • Respond to clients’ requests for advisory and consultation for, but not limited to strategy development, communication planning, community relations, business intelligence
  • Lead and facilitate business development activities: find leads, develop the pipeline, and win contracts
  • Review or create new processes to improve CPA’s coordination with other departments (Advocacy Communications, Digital Marketing, Creatives, Finance)
  • Pursue development of new products based on available resources and team-capability

As an associate director, you are expected to:

  • Be entrepreneurial

  • Have above average strategic insights,  oral and written communication skills to relay information clearly and effectively to all stakeholders
  • Have good interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to relate well with others 
  • Have an extensive background in media relations, communication planning, and client servicing
  • Develop a close working relationship with the other team members
  • Maintain flexibility and adaptability in the workplace
  • Maintain a sense of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality in the conduct of responsibilities
  • Proactively identify ways to improve the efficiency of the team
  • Commit to continuous learning and development
  • Stay abreast of trends in digital marketing, social media, media, communications, and other related platforms
 

Qualifications

  • Between 5-7 years of experience in a PR agency setting
  • Strong media/journalist  network in the Philippines and in the region
  • Experience in handling corporate PR accounts (FMCG, property, fintech, manufacturing, energy)
