Overview
Evident Integrated Marketing & PR is looking for a highly capable team member based in Cotabato City, or can relocate to Cotabato City, who can assist the project team through administrative and research tasks, for a 7-month engagement with the Ministry of Trade, Investments and Tourism of the BARMM.
The Project Assistant reports to Evident’s Director for Advocacy Communications (Overall Project Lead) and Senior Project Manager, and is expected to work closely with the Cotabato-based Lead Field Coordination/Project Manager. The Project Assistant is expected to provide effective and efficient support to the project through a mix of complex and routine administrative tasks, which cover, but are not limited to, desk and field research and analysis, logistical tasks, documentation, and archiving.
Duties and Responsibilities

Key Function 1: Logistical and Administrative Tasks
- Research and contact suppliers (venue, transportation, equipment, etc.) to request for cost proposals and ensuring that logistical needs are secured for the expected activities with the MTIT and their respective program teams
- Ensures that supplier needs/costs are within the allocated budget
- Collects and makes arrangements for workshop materials as needed during both internal and external meetings, trainings or workshops
- Coordinate with the Senior Project Manager for any specific administrative or logistical needs
Key Function 2: Documentation and Archiving
- Archive documents and supplier or media contacts as needed
- Transcribe and translate workshop notes and audio recordings into a more digestible format
Key Function 3: Research
- Assist the team in the preparation of documents through desk research and ensuring quality of these documents
- Assist in developing research strategies and in the conduct of field work, or pre- and post-testing of materials, including analysis of statistical information and data for use in reports and presentations
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports, minutes of the meeting or contact reports

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, development, sociology or other relevant fields
- At least one year experience implementing similar work or projects, particularly in the BARMM
- Based in, or willing to be relocated to Cotabato City
- Applicant will be using their own computer/laptop
- The engagement is a mix of remote work and field work/meetings, subject to strict compliance to minimum health standards prescribed by the Department of Health under GCQ, MGCQ, MECQ, and ECQ (depending on the changing health landscape over the engagement due to COVID-19)
Functional Competencies
- Good knowledge of the historical and cultural nuances of training and communication initiatives in the BARMM and deep understanding of the tourism, trade and investment objectives and considerations or issues in the region
- Knowledge of building partnerships with suppliers or other consultants
- Working knowledge of project/program cycle management
- Demonstrates excellent management and coordination skills
- Responds positively to feedback
- Demonstrates ability to manage complexities
- Must adhere to Evident’s child protection policy
