Associate Creative Director – Copy

Job Overview

The Associate Creative Director (ACD) is responsible for driving creative excellence across the department, working within an integrated team that includes accounts, data, media buying, and creatives. The ACD will lead in developing creative concepts that make a significant impact for clients, the agency, and the public. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance creativity with practical execution, ensuring all campaigns align with client objectives and deliver outstanding results.

The ACD is expected to foster a collaborative and harmonious work environment, guiding team members in their professional development and maintaining high creative standards. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and development in the evolving landscape of marketing and advertising.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Gives input on the strategic brief before cascading to the team
  • Leads the team in conceptualizing pitches
  • Prepares the pitch deck: big idea, content strategy, platform strategy, sample content
    • This includes collaboration with senior associates and delegation of tasks to junior team members
  • Presents pitches to clients
  • Provides input to determine the feasibility and costing of proposals


  • Provides input on job requests before cascading to the team
  • Manages team load to ensure even distribution and timely delivery
    • This includes taking on some projects personally (copywriting)
  • Coordinates with team leads on workload
  • Coordinates with project managers as needed
  • Takes charge of assigned projects to ensure smooth delivery
  • Ensures that creative output meets quality standards
  • Encourages and mentors the team to achieve high-quality creative output

Production: In-House and Outsourced:

  • Provides timely feedback on portfolios, reels, and offline edits
  • Actively participates in biddings, feasibility studies, pre-productions, shoots, and post-productions
  • Participates in live posting or agile (in-house) production when needed
  • Takes charge and provides creative direction during shoots and recordings


  • Conducts one-on-ones with junior team members
  • Guides junior team members in their professional development
  • Consistently communicates with the Creative Director and Business Unit Director about the professional development and well-being of team members.
  • Screens potential candidates for hiring: portfolios, tests, and interviews
  • Helps plan training and team-building activities
  • Commits to continuous learning and development, including AI tools that support creativity

  • Proven experience as a Senior Copywriter or Associate Creative Director in a creative agency
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in copywriting and creative direction
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work in an integrated team that includes accounts, data, media buying, and creatives
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Digital and Social Media Expertise: Deep understanding of digital marketing strategies, social media trends, and content creation tailored for various digital platforms.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to leverage data analytics to inform creative strategies and measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Innovation and Creativity:  Willingness to learn and implement AI tools in creative processes.Encourages continuous innovation and exploring new formats like AR, VR, and interactive content.
