Remote Work:
This position is Work From Home until a time at which it is safe for everyone to return to an in-office working model. We’re looking to speak to candidates who plan to be in Metro Manila long-term.


About the Role

The Art Director (AD) for the Corporate and Public Affairs unit is considered an individual contributor tasked to conceptualize and execute various forms of visual content for the unit’s corporate and consumer lifestyle clients. As a resource that is embedded in the CPA unit, the Art Director is expected to openly collaborate with team members and deliver work that solves real world problems.

The role will report to the Director for Corporate and Public Affairs. The ideal candidate must:

  • Show Creative and Strategic Leadership
  • An experienced designer that has worked for PR, marketing teams, or newsrooms in developing campaigns that adhere to or challenge the brief when necessary
  • Must demonstrate understanding of how PR and digital platforms work and what form of content suits each platform
  • Able and willing to switch gears and design for consumer lifestyle, corporate, NGO, and government clients


Have the following key competencies and technical skills:

  • At least 3-4 years of work experience in graphic designing and art direction
  • Digital composition
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Basic Illustration
  • Basic video editing
  • Visual Storytelling
  • Organizational Skills
  • Communication Skill


Have the Ability to Collaborate and Self-Manage:

  • Openly collaborate with people from other business units and, occasionally, business partners, external vendors, and counterparts from other agencies
  • Must be able to self-manage time, workflow, and communication
  • Must show an appetite for learning both technical skills (illustration, motion graphics, etc.) and soft skills (communication, problems-solving, leadership, and critical thinking)
  • Willing to consider new ideas and/or new ways of working
  • Responds well to feedback
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment


The art director’s responsibilities are as follows:

  • Research and Strategy:
    Participate in brainstorming sessions and development of pitch decks and its parts, including key visuals, sample posts, and mock-ups
  • Look for resources to be used in a design (photos, vectors, etc.)
  • Attend relevant meetings and events to know more about the client or to gain additional knowledge/skills as a designer (workshops, etc.)
  • Asset Development and Production
  • Produce comprehensive studies and final art for various platforms (social media, print, web, etc.) using different visual methods and tools, and within agreed upon timelines/deadlines
  • Conduct feasibility checking with copywriter when creating editorial calendars
  • Draft/format articles using content management systems (WordPress, MailChimp, etc.)
  • Consult with senior designer for implementation of art direction and/or playbook
  • Apply client revisions within reasonable turnaround times
  • Organize files per client for documentation and turnover to team and/or client
  • Ensures that all final art / produced content is aligned with design brief and client strategy
